House of Moth

I've decided! I have to find that stone, to find out if it's my imagination or the truth. I've always considered myself a sober, emotionally stable person, but this time I can't say the same about myself. An irresistible need for clarity rises within me. I know it's not just fascination, but something deeper-as if this stone holds the answer to questions I've long wondered about.

I woke up this morning with this resolution. I've been planning a plan all day, searching for a way to accomplish this mission. But above all, I need money-fortunately, our expedition was quite fruitful. The pay should be sufficient to support me for a while. Fortunately, our guides will return to our archaeological site upon their return to the city to collect the items we left behind. I think this would be the perfect opportunity to join them and leave before the river. It will give me enough time do my research.

Perhaps this will be something strange for them. I'll need to find some explanation. I will ask them to wait for me on their way back.

I've planned to start preparing within a few days-checking archaeological documents, contacting local experts, and maybe even asking if any of our teammates have ever had similar experiences. I have to be discreet-even for me, this idea is quite illogical, and it could cost me my reputation. I must remember, after all, that the archaeological community is quite small...
