I started the day later again. My condition, despite the time spent at the excavation site, was clearly not yet adequate for the role of farmer. After leaving the tent, I was greeted by Silvana. She once again had a basket, a picnic blanket, and breakfast ready for me. As I approached her, I had a feeling something was wrong. I wasn't mistaken, because she said:
"They're coming."
She meant, of course, my traveling companions. At first I was very scared, as I really didn't want to expose Silvana or this place. However, she quickly reassured me that they probably wouldn't arrive so soon, that I probably had all day, as they probably wouldn't show up at the river until the evening. Indeed, they did.
Before they arrived, however, I decided to "write down" some more observations for my notes. Silvana helped me find informations in letters and even occasionally added something to the descriptions. In the end, we decided it would be more effective (and interesting) if we went into the jungle and searched for the more interesting specimens. So we did. I even gathered some of the plants. It was a very pleasant and peaceful day (though in exchange for my tired arms and back from yesterday, my legs are feeling very exhausted today).
My group arrived at the river in the evening, and I went out to meet them. However, they decided they wouldn't cross until the next morning. We said our final goodbyes to Silvana, after agreeing on the details of my mission. Tomorrow morning, I'll be packing my things.
I left some of my food supplies with Silvana – there's no point carrying it around, and she'll be happy to use it. I don't really have much to do today; I'm going to sleep quite early, probably reading a book. While I'm sitting by the fire I see some moths flying around; I have to ask where the moth symbol came from...
